Sessions and Credits

Independent Studio Option

16 credits are combined by the following sessions:

10 studio credits for:

i. Critique Sessions 6 hours per week
- individual studio critiques signed up with two artist-faculty - a painter and a sculptor
- Mid-Semester Critique and Final Review
ii. Two 6-hour group critiques with all faculty and a visiting critic or artist
- one at mid-semester and one the day after the Open House Exhibition at the end of the semester.

3 liberal studies or art history credits for:

i. Critical Seminar 3 hours per week
- seminar and individual studio critiques signed up with one art critic-faculty.
ii. Visiting Artists Sessions 3 hours per week
- attending presentation and individual studio critiques signed up with visiting artist or critic.

3 liberal studies or art history credits for:

i. Contemporary Art Seminar - 3 hours per week
- seminar with an art critic-faculty followed by individual sign-up studio.
Internship Option

16 credits are combined by the following sessions:

13 studio credits for:

i. Professional Internship 20 hours minimum in selected job employment.
- Grade and evaluation given by employer
ii. Final Review
- 6-hour group critique with all faculty and a visiting critic or artist the day after the Open House Exhibition at the end of the semester.

3 liberal studies or art history credits for:

i. Contemporary Art Seminar 3 hours per week
- seminar with an art critic- faculty followed by individual sign-up studio.
